Intern Spotlight - Hannah Hurst

We are delighted to introduce you to Intern Hannah Hurst.

Degree: I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and will have my Master’s degree in Clinical

Mental Health Counseling in December 2023.

School: University of North Alabama

What I do: I offer free individual counseling. I am able to allow space for clients to tell their

stories and work through the difficult things that they have faced without fear of being judged.

Why One Place?: One Place helps people who experience abuse and sexual assault, and that is a

population that has a lot of meaning for me. One Place has given me a great opportunity to

reach out to clients in this area of my field, and I am working under a great supervisor who has a

lot of experience, and who is able to help me gain the knowledge to provide the best service

possible for my clients.

Fun Fact: I really enjoy reading, playing guitar, and writing poetry/songs!
