“Start By Believing”

One Place of the Shoals is proud to be participating in the national “Start By Believing” campaign this April. We hope you will join us and take the pledge to “Start By Believing” when someone comes to you and tells you they have been sexually assaulted.

Most victims of sexual assault do not report the crime to law enforcement. Many never tell anyone. Then because so few assaults are reported – most perpetrators walk free.

It’s time to end this cycle. It all starts in our own community.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Help us bring awareness to this growing epidemic in our community. The official national kick off date is April 4th.

When someone tells you they were sexually assaulted, make a pledge to “Start by Believing.” Then spread the word.
